Happy Holidays to everyone, no matter what your beliefs. The Christian faith is based on the birth of Jesus, so it's a good time to look at new beginnings.
I hope you all find some time to lay 2010 to rest, ready for the birth of 2011. I look forward to hearing your plans and resolutions for January over the next couple of weeks.
I thought I would introduce a suggestion because this is the season for giving. Instead of spending money on cards and postage, especially with the delivery services under pressure with the bad weather, we can send eCards.
"A very small degree of hope is sufficient to cause the birth of love." - Stendhal

Global Giving have Christmas ecards that include a donation, so the recipient can choose which cause appeals to them. It's a lovely way to share giving, and pass the message on. I especially love the microfinance projects. For just a few dollars you can help people who want to support their families and communities.
"Time and money spent in helping men to do more for themselves is far better than mere giving." - Henry Ford

We've all seen small children discard their present, and play with the box instead, so both cats and children will be happy with less, leaving you with more to give!
It's worth thinking about what will happen to the toys after they've been played with once. They just take up space, which is always limited. Teaching children from a young age that material possessions don't bring happiness, but sharing what you have does. Your time and love will always be more valuable than any gift.
"No one has ever become poor by giving." - Anne Frank

Everyone's life is controlled by habits. The choice you have is whether they're good or bad habits.
It's easy to hold on to comfortable patterns and routines, but stopping to take stock regularly is a good new habit to take up. Become aware of your thoughts, and don't let your unconscious keep you stuck. It's always possible to form new beliefs and change - whatever your age.
The Law of Attraction has been followed for centuries, as it was observed that what we habitually think about becomes part of our experience. Once you learn how to control your thoughts you can start to direct your results, and manifest what you want in your life. This is called 'deliberate creation'.
Take time to be clear on why you want more abundance. Once you choose those who need your support, then abundance will begin to flow to you. There's nothing wrong in living well, but if you only think about the latest gadget, then the universe has less reason to send you money, because it would place those who give higher up the list.
Give freely without worrying about how you will earn more, and abundance will always cover your generosity.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle

Love and fear are the source of all our emotions. Learning to love freely with no expectations, and completely unconditionally, is the way to become the happiest you can be.
Notice how you feel when you express your love. Is there a hidden agenda, where you really mean "if you do this for me, or give me that, or simply, if you love me back"?
Being detached from the outcome is the answer to achieving peace of mind. Z Point is the perfect way to work through emotional issues painlessly, and distance yourself from them. This allows you to make room for new habits. Once you experience the deep peace after the Z Point Process, you will want to always feel that good.

When you stop depending on the reactions of others to make you happy, you remove the possibility that they may let you down. It's wonderfully liberating giving love without a second thought.
If you think there have to be conditions attached to your love, start by finding a favourite charity to support. They're in no position to give you anything back, so you only have the sense of wellbeing afterwards.
I recommend
Global Giving who have a wide choice of deserving causes. One of my favourites is where only $40 provides a starter loan to one entrepreneurial woman to expand her business, and support her family.
This video is a perfect example of unconditional love:
"Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love. " - Leo Buscaglia
