The first breathing exercise to listen to is the stress buster, which expels all your pent up stress and tension in seconds.

You literally copy the cat, and allow your tongue to hang out of your mouth . . . making it one to experience in private!

Use this quick and easy exercise whenever you feel tension starting to build up. It's very effective, and it prevents you from letting stress get on top of you so you explode. It's always better to look silly than it is to get angry!

The second simple breathing exercise is the stress release. If you observe cats, you will see them constantly stretching. Follow their example as you gently combine slow, deep breathing with the release of tension in your neck and shoulders.

This is where you become stiff when you sit in one position, such as on the computer, and your muscles become tight. Unless you relieve them regularly, you will find yourself suffering from increasing amounts of pain. Paying attention to your breathing benefits your whole body, and learning how to control your breath as you perform a stretch greatly increases the results.

Research Proves Breathing Exercises Improve Your Health

After thousands of years of knowledge from yoga masters, scientists now also have evidence that learning how to breathe correctly can improve everything from panic attacks to hypertension to chronic pulmonary obstruction.

A heart attack is caused by an acute circulation blockage depriving the heart of oxygen. When this happens in the brain it results in a stroke.

Oxygen is more vital to your body than food or water, but not enough attention is paid to how it's possible to increase oxygen levels. In 1947, research done in Germany showed that when oxygen was withdrawn, normal body cells could turn into cancer cells. (I can remember my mother having panic attacks, and she died of cancer.)

Your breathing and stress are tied together, because you cause panic and stress by gasping for air, and also when you feel stressed you don't breathe slowly and deeply. So, learning how to breathe using your diaphragm will reduce symptoms of stress. (Watch the video below.)

Tips To Reduce Stress

1) Look for ways to laugh, as research from the Mayo Clinic shows how laughter increases the rate of neuropeptides released that help fight stress, and potentially more serious illnesses.

2) The cat pictures for Easter include chocolate, because that has become the most popular part of the holiday. Chocolate has also been shown to relieve stress, as scientists for the Nestle Research Centre found. Dark chocolate enjoyed on a daily basis can help to balance the body chemistry of people who are stressed.

3) Get plenty of sleep. Reach a level of deep relaxation by experiencing the Z Point Process as you lay in bed, and your stress will fade away.

The more often you feel that relaxed, the sooner you will reach the state of complete peace. You will be able to drift off to sleep after counting down from 10 to 0, repeating your cue word in-between.

Many call the resurrection of Jesus a miracle. I think when inspirational stories are called miracles, it puts them out of bounds, and distances them from "ordinary" people. I prefer to look on them as hope and possibilities that are available for everyone.

You might think, "But of course I want to lose weight, why on earth would I choose not to?". If you are not losing weight steadily every week - then you have chosen not to.

Everything is a choice - from deciding what you will eat for breakfast, to whether you will take healthy snacks out with you, or dive into the nearest fast food place instead.

Making the right choices for the right outcomes takes planning. Just using weight loss as an example, if you wander into a supermarket without a shopping list, and allow yourself to be tempted by the fresh smells in the bakery, or the offers on chocolate that are placed within easy reach ... then you are never going to lose weight.

If you really do want to lose weight, then you would make better choices. You would shop online so that the scents and sights don't distract you. You stick to your list, and return to it for each following shopping session, so it becomes faster and easier each time.

Once you have added everything you need for a healthy, balanced diet, then you can look for offers, and stock up on the basics that you always need. This means you will always have food in the cupboard that supports your new choice to lose weight.

Now you have done the planning, and taken responsibility for what is in your cupboards, your fridge, and your freezer - you will lose weight. If you say you 'had' to have biscuits - ask yourself how they got into your house? Eliminate all temptation and all excuses, and get into your new healthy habits.

Are you choosing what you really want, or are you choosing to stay exactly as you are now? Know that you make that choice every minute of every day. If you don't really want to lose weight because it takes long term commitment - then save your energy for what you really do want.

Everyone needs help and support to make changes - and that is always available. When you choose the right help for you, and make that first step forward, then you know you're ready. Green Cat for St Patrick's Day
I hope you have a lot of fun turning green! This Irish celebration has spread throughout the world, and generally involves a lot of drinking and silliness.

It's good to let your hair down, have a good time, and forget everyday life for a while. St Patrick's Day made me think about how the Irish are associated with luck and superstitions.

Professor Wiseman published his findings of a 10 year study to determine the nature of luck in a book called "The Luck Factor: The Scientific Study of the Lucky Mind".

Fear is the most basic of all emotions, and it's natural to be afraid of trying something new. But if this stops you from doing what you would love, and you find yourself saying no, then you're missing out on all the exciting possibilities waiting for you.

The girls who say 'YES' to the chance of an education are very inspiring. They are leaving a whole culture which has existed for generations, and their bravery to want to move forward, while leaving their families and friends behind, is beyond anything any of us will experience.

We've seen with the serious economic problems that whole countries can become bankrupt, and that leaves the rest of the world having to support them. Possibly this situation has been created to highlight that we are all connected, and everyone is our sister, or daughter, or friend. The more we help the poor to help themselves, the richer we'll all become - in every way possible.

If these girls can say 'YES' to a better future - so can you!

This Halloween, instead of hiding away from the noisy fireworks, take the opportunity to choose how you treat yourself.

Do you trick yourself into thinking everything is OK, when you know, deep down, that you don't feel satisfied? You can't keep brushing over those niggling feelings, they just build up until you become really unhappy.

Why should you settle for less than truly, deeply, madly joyful? If you're stuck in a rut, you might think that's an impossible aim - but it's not - and it's how everyone should feel.

Make time to treat yourself well every day. You have to really care about yourself, and know that you deserve to be treated well by others too. Once you get into the habit of having fun and spoiling yourself, you will radiate out that you love, respect and value yourself, and you expect nothing but the same back - and that's exactly what you will receive.

Make a list of all the things that are holding you back, and promise yourself that you're going to address each one. You can take each issue through the Z Point Process, and let it go for good. You won't ever again be weighed down by anything that is preventing you from being completely happy. You create your reality every day. No matter what has happened in the past, you choose how you live with those events. Either you make peace with them, or you allow them to ruin your present. The choice is always yours.

The day you decide to stop being a victim, and take responsibility for your life, is the day you have control over your own happiness. All the time you spend blaming others is time lost and wasted, and it could mean you miss opportunities to help you change. 

The power of choice applies to everything, and it's always possible to change how you feel. Test this for yourself:

  1. Bring to mind a memory of when someone hurt you very deeply. Create the exact picture of everything around you as you experienced the pain (physical or emotional).
  2. Remember a time when you were completely happy. It might be when you won a prize, or achieved a hard won goal. You felt safe, loved, and confident.

Compare the difference between those two memories. You will feel sad thinking about how badly you were treated, and it will drag your mood down. As soon as you focus on a time where everything felt good, and you knew you were loved and successful, you will lift your spirits again.

If you feel stuck, it's not easy to learn new habits, but Z Point can release limiting beliefs, and guide you towards making the right choices for a successful future. Life is too short to allow the past to hold you back. It's possible to liberate yourself by choosing happiness over sadness. Every second of every day you have the power of choice - make it the right one.

This will horrify anyone who believes only the white of an egg should be eaten - but I don't believe in faddy diets, and I think natural food is good for us. Anyway, I have an omelette most mornings, and this week I had 4 eggs in a row with double yolks! I loved the unexpected surprises.

It made me appreciate how something as small as an egg can give me pleasure, and how easy it is to find things to be grateful for. I love simplifying life back to basics. Keeping a record of every little thing I get free or extra means I have proof of abundance. I don't dismiss them, and think it's only when something big happens that the Law of Attraction is really working.

It's working all the time, and by being observant and actively looking for evidence, then feeling happy and grateful, the universe sees we're ready for more. So, don't ignore the money off voucher, or the free drink offer - they're signs of abundance - and they're everywhere.

I love how using Z Point regularly has brought me peace and calm, and a certain knowledge that money will always flow to me from different sources. Freeing myself from stress is a much happier way to live.
