It's easy to get stuck in a routine where old habits run your life. Inertia affects everyone at some point. It's natural to choose the easy option, but eventually it comes at a cost.

Do you really want to say "I wish I'd done that", over and over again when you look back at your life?

The excuse of not having enough time is redundant. It's always possible to be flexible and find new ways to approach things. I heard recently how someone had written for 1 1/2 hours every week for 4 years, and now they've been able to publish a book.

Taking time to look at life differently is always worthwhile. Try changing one habit today. Even if it's just stopping to look out of the window when you're washing up, and really observe the view. Appreciate anything beautiful which is growing, and notice the colours. It might make you want to take 5 minutes to go outside for some fresh air. That's all it takes to change the automatic pilot we often run on.

I'm reading an excellent book which gives a step by step guide to break out, and utilise your right brain, allowing creativity to flow. (I especially loved the part where we should include silliness - I really believe we all need more fun and play.) Read my review of 'Prescriptions For Living A Creative Life' (you can find it in the Amazon Self Help Book Store).

If every banker in the world followed the stages in this book, there wouldn't be a global financial crisis. Too many think we have to conform to be successful, but top business leaders are all highly creative, and always on the look-out for the next new thing.

Richard Branson is an excellent example of looking for ways to bring fun into his schedule. There can't be many with a busier lifestyle, but he never makes excuses that he doesn't have enough time to enjoy his passions. I think flying in balloons results in a more expansive mind than simply sitting at a desk turning the same problem round and round, and getting nowhere.

ZPoint is an excellent way to clear issues which are keeping you stuck. Grant Connolly, the creator and developer of ZPoint, runs online training courses. In 8 weeks your life will be transformed, and you will have the ability to cope with everything life throws at you. Please get in touch if you want to know more, because I couldn't recommend ZPoint training more highly.

We are living in world with full of chances and hopes. Looking out for new opportunities is really the best thing to do in life. One should not be stagnant on what he/she is having right now. If opportunity knocks on your way, grab it. If not, look for it! Exercise your passion, be creative and imaginative while you are still alive. Think of some ways wherein you can relax and enjoy. Think of it, life is short.

This is a great post and such an important message. The ONLY way anything ever gets done is by doing it, usually in very small steps. I know people hate to hear that advice because it feels so slow and unproductive, but it's so spot on. Thanks! I'm glad I found this blog!

I'm so glad you found your way here - thanks very much!

That's why I loved Neil Tepper's book 'Prescriptions For Living A Creative Life' because it tells you what steps to take, and guides you through.

We often need help to make us take action, so finding a hand to hold is great. When we take small steps it's much easier to see results quickly too.

Here's to finding our passions, and loving life through releasing our creative minds.
