When you love and accept all of yourself, you take your focus away from being critical of your imperfections and mistakes.
Judging yourself crushes your spirit, and limits how far you're willing to reach for your goals.
Firstly – nobody is perfect.
Secondly – nobody ever achieved anything without making a lot of mistakes.
Research those you admire who have already done what you'd love to do. Learn about how they got there.
Each and every one of them will describe the challenges they had to overcome, and not one will say everything was handed to them on a plate. They carried on despite their own perceived lack, and despite getting things wrong along the way.
If you want to be successful, you have to change the person you're taking along on that journey – and that is you. Nothing else matters as much as how you feel about yourself.
You have to believe in yourself.
You have to grow an unshakeable confidence in your abilities.
But, most of all, you have to love yourself.
Caring about how you feel will tune you into your intuition, which will guide you to do what's best for you. You will create a balanced life where you know taking time off to have fun is more important than working long hours, and this will build a sustainable future.
When you love yourself, you treat yourself kindly and don't push yourself so you burn out with stress.
Start by appreciating everything about yourself. Make a list of every small thing you've ever achieved, every new piece of technology you've learned, every compliment you've ever received – and focus on those every day until your self-esteem is a solid foundation for every choice you make.
This is the foundation that keeps you on course when you doubt yourself, and when you make mistakes. Instead of talking badly to yourself, say this is just one day – tomorrow will be better.
You are perfectly imperfect, and when you know that – you remove all the stress you place on yourself. Nobody else expects you to get everything right all the time – that would make you a robot, not the complex, unique, and wonderful individual that you are.
“Appreciation and self-love are the most important tools that you could ever nurture. Appreciation of others, and the appreciation of yourself is the closest vibrational match to your Source Energy of anything that we've ever witnessed anywhere in the Universe.” ~ Abraham-Hicks
"Treat yourself as if you already are what you'd like to be." ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
