I've lived in this house for 19 years - and they've been 19 very long years, thanks to the extremely dodgy builders, from the first to the last, who have all taken advantage (to keep this polite!).
Today, I've shown it's worth digging deep to find the patience to keep picking myself up, and starting over again. This is a quality I've had to acquire, but it's been worth every last stressful moment (thank you ZPoint for allowing me to release instead of explode!) - because I've sold my house to the most perfect couple. All within a week, with my own photos and descriptions for less than £300 online - after being quoted £6,000 + by an estate agent.
I'm now so pleased the agent didn't bother replying to one email (after promising to be helpful and different to all the other agencies), and let me down badly after I waited two months for their recommended builders to not turn up on the agreed date - because I've also made 20% more than their valuation.
It's taken an enormous amount of belief in the end result, despite the constant flood of negativity - and I really deserve to celebrate with champagne and chocolates!
Buy a bottle of champagne now, and keep it ready - because you expect things to work out for you, and know you will always have reasons to celebrate.
“Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For it you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will be powerless to vex your mind.” ~ Leonardo Da Vinci
“You will succeed if you persevere; and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles. – Helen Keller
"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!" ~ Og Mandino
"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." ~ Oprah Winfrey
