You know you don't want to be as helpless as a baby who is dependent on others for everything. I believed I needed help before I could move, and escape the constant work needed to renovate, and maintain, an older house. Every time a builder let me down it set me back, and I needed time to recover before I could face starting again.
What finally made the move happen was letting go of all the past disappointments, and focusing on the future. All I knew was that I had to have a sea view. I didn't know anything more - but I kept collecting evidence of how beautiful the sea was, and gradually my focus became sharper and clearer as my beliefs changed.
I didn't believe I could manage the physical upheaval of packing and moving, so I had to release those doubts and return my focus to how it would feel to watch the tides ebb and flow, hear the waves, and smell the ocean.
My beliefs changed from impossible to possible as I let go of each of my doubts - not by fighting the present reality. When you release whatever makes you feel stressed you calm your thoughts, and allow yourself space to find solutions.
Solutions come easily when you feel at peace - they will never come while you're struggling.
It is possible to make change simpler by simply thinking simple thoughts.
Stop letting your mind race away with all the things that could go wrong, and picture yourself already enjoying your goal. Feel excited - no amount of affirmations can ever replace feeling good.
The right words don't matter - feeling happy right now, before anything has changed, makes changes happen.
You make change happen by changing yourself first.
Knowing this opens you up to unlimited possibilities. You don't have to wait for anyone to help you - once you've made a clear intention, and keep your goal alive in your mind, everything falls into place.
Forget about the details, and let go of worry. Once you focus on your target, nothing can stop you reaching it. Your thoughts and beliefs determine your results - you really can do anything when you choose to feel peaceful first.
