Everyone has at least one burning desire deep inside them.
You might want to travel to Italy.
You might want to start painting.
You might want to learn to ski.
You might want to learn Japanese.
Whatever it is, you were meant to do it, and until you at least try to see if you enjoy it, you will feel unsatisfied.
It's said that everyone has a book inside them, and I know I have a number of stories waiting . . . but instead of becoming frustrated because I haven't written a novel, I started by combining my enjoyment of photography with my passion for quotes.
I created a simple format that I was able to learn how to publish as an Amazon Kindle eBook. These have grown in different directions, and will continue to grow as I'm allowing my imagination to express itself. I've always been creative, there aren't many crafts I haven't tried, and this has been an enormously satisfying outlet.
Along the way, I've met a number of people who haven't completed one book, despite saying they want to be an author. They continue to spend money on courses, programs, and software - but they don't take action, and apply any of it.
One reason could be that they're drowning in overwhelm - by collecting so much information you don't know where to start - so you don't.
Another reason is the next-best-thing bandwagon - I jumped on a few last year, and I'm much happier now I'm off them . . . because none of them deliver what they promise . . . and I wasted more time learning different techniques which don't work.
It doesn't matter how little time you think you have - you always have time to distract you away from your end result.
I resisted Facebook until just over a year ago when I joined a couple of Kindle groups, and gradually I've got to know more people, and found there are endless groups on any topic under the sun. I've kept focused solely on Kindle eBooks, but I'm amazed at how much friends share on so many different groups - but they never have the time to finish their projects . . .
One lady, who writes beautiful blog posts, so she has more writing ability than many, and has knowledge that people want to hear, comes up with endless excuses for not publishing a book. She's spent a lot of money chasing this dream, and belongs to around 30 author and book groups - but she will never complete a book.
How do I know? Because she hasn't addressed the underlying reasons for her excuses. Beyond the natural fear of putting something out to be judged by strangers, she's holding on to the anger from a failed business partnership. She's allowed that bad experience to make her lose her self confidence, she has no belief in her own choices, and she doesn't feel she deserves anything better.
I don't talk about ZPoint unless someone approaches me, because it isn't my place to try to help people until they're ready. It's impossible to change someone who isn't willing to face up to the changes that need to be addressed.
What I have done is pave the way by being practical - I've proof-read and edited her book, I've given her a simple, step by step plan to set up her author account and page on Amazon, I've shown her how to select her niche, how to choose a title and sub heading, and she knows I'll format it for her because that's why she initially contacted me . . .
Even with everything handed to her on a plate she still won't get it done.
Excuse follows excuse . . . the latest being an old wrist injury - but she can still post all day on Facebook!
I'm telling you this because I want you to look at why you haven't achieved what you say you want to achieve.
Lack of time is never a reason. There is always something else that is holding you back. You can release any limiting belief with ZPoint - so please listen to your excuses, and clear all them of them to free yourself to finally finish what you started. The Kindle eBook on the right includes a full Session of the ZPoint Process which you can use for any issue.
As I said last week you have to love yourself to attract what you need to make you happy - that will always be the case.
