I love reading books, and my Kindle is my favorite possession. I see a lot of titles offered along the lines of "How to Deal With Toxic People" and "How to "Stop Procrastinating". They either make a judgment of others, or cause you to find fault with yourself.
The world is full of labels, and I urge you to opt out!
I bought a talk on procrastination, and instead of any useful information on motivation to complete tasks - they actually called people lazy! That made me realize how differently a subject can be perceived, and made me think twice about labeling people.
As one of the quotes below shows, in psychiatry they invented names for conditions that didn't actually exist, and this allowed companies to sell drugs to "fix" them.
Instead of taking everything you're told as a true fact - question everything instead. You are full of beliefs you've absorbed unconsciously as a child, and when you face them peacefully with ZPoint you can let them go, because you're able to feel what is really true for you while you're relaxed.
Until you make the time to face limiting beliefs, you will be carrying around old labels that never did apply to you, but they have affected your choices and actions since. Do you remember the sting of a teacher saying you couldn't paint, or you couldn't run fast enough to be part of a team, even though you loved painting or running?
Start painting now! Go running now!
Don't let old labels prevent you from doing anything you enjoy. Free yourself to simply do whatever brings you pleasure. There is nobody ready to criticize you - there are only your own thoughts based on your old memories.
When you're responsible for choosing thoughts that make you feel better, your life changes. I've saved a fortune on books, because I no longer see any toxic people! I focus on people who have similar values, and they add joy to my days. If you find yourself attaching labels to others - stop! It's much easier to move on, and spend your time finding people you get on with.
Ending judgment of others makes you feel better. How you feel is what you attract, and when you start looking for the good in others, there is no room left for anyone else.
Get in touch if you want to end limiting labels that are holding you back. Life feels so much better when you focus on creating more of what feels good.
“Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker. Expose your ideas to the danger of controversy. Speak your mind and fear less the label of "crackpot" than the stigma of conformity.” ~ Thomas J. Watson
“There is no such ''condition'' as ''schizophrenia,'' but the label is a social fact and the social fact a political event.” ~ R. D. Laing
"Negative labels make you question yourself. They make you hide your true self. They stop you from doing what you love and going after what you want. I’m too stubborn to have let my labels hold me back, but they did bring me heartache and stress. They would slow me down in going after my dreams and I’d pretend to be someone I wasn’t. I stopped listening to the labels and started creating my own. I stopped caring what people said and made a conscious effort to stop putting myself down." ~ Susanna Halonen
