Letting go can also be thought of as losing something, when it's natural to want to hold on tightly to everything you own.
You're programmed to hunt and gather, so letting go is contrary to your instincts.
So it's OK to feel scared or nervous when I suggest you need to let go.
But, imagine if you kept every Birthday and Christmas present since the day you were born, and you stored them all in your living room . . . I doubt it would be possible to open the door, much less fit inside!
That's an example of how it's essential to continuously let go all through your life, otherwise you block yourself from enjoying your living room, and every other room that is available to you. I'm sure you would prefer to be free to explore every room that is waiting for you, instead of being unable to access all those possibilities.
The only way you can make space for a new thought, and a new habit, is to let the old ones go. You know which thoughts you don't need - they're the ones that crop up every time you want to try something new, and you find your mind is flooded with memories of how things went wrong before. Your subconscious has decided for you that it's safer not to change, so that you don't fail again.
This is where the ZPoint Process is so helpful, because you gradually become more relaxed with each round, which makes it easier to face each memory that comes to the surface, and you can acknowledge that it's no longer useful or relevant, and simply let it go. You don't have to do anything - you will feel the memory gradually fade away, as you become more peaceful.
Once it has gone, it no longer has any emotional attachment over you, and when you recall the memory in future you will remain calm, because it has lost its ability to affect you.
ZPoint will help you over feelings of insecurity when you think about letting go, and you will appreciate the difference afterwards. The more you let go, the more in control you become.

“The day I understood everything, was the day I stopped trying to figure everything out. The day I knew peace was the day I let everything go.”
~ C. JoyBell C.
“Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.”
~ Ann Landers
